As an added measure of prevention, beginning Monday, April 6, 2020, all SAGE Management staff members will be wearing face masks during their shift. Although this is not required by law, we feel this is best for the prevention of COVID-19 for both the residents and the employees.
Each employee will be given and designated a face mask; some of which were made by our own residents! All face masks will be reusable. Each will be washed daily and stored in Ziplock bags while not in use.
SAGE understands this may be uncomfortable for our staff and may take some getting used to, but we all agree this is a necessary precaution. We know that face masks sometimes make it difficult to understand what someone is saying. If you have trouble understanding or hearing the staff when they speak, let them know and we will make accommodations.
If you would feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please see your Executive Director and they will assist in finding you one.
We hope this won’t be long term. Please know that we will take all precautions necessary, for as long as it takes, to keep our residents and our employees safe.
Thank you,
